The Iowa Region Car Club of America sponsors Sunday autocross at Prairie High School. Registration starts 9 pm, runs begin 12:30. Entry is 2.60 for members and 5.00 for newcomers. Zwanziger Takes Lead in Points at Hawk Eye Downs Half Mile
Waterloo driver Bill Zwanziger moved into the late model stock car point lead after four weeks at the Hawk Eye Downs half mile dirt track. He broke the tie with Curt Hansen of Dike and now leads Roger Dolan 1,770 to 1,730, with Hansen third at 1,630. Sanger leads a pack of rivals, time trials saw an all time Downs record of 24.92 by Sanger, as Friday’s nine event program begins at 7 p.m. with time trials and racing at 8.
