Ranchers fear losing land to feds along Red River
In Electra Texas ranchers along the Red River fear the Bureau of Land Management may designate up to 90000 acres in Wilbarger Wichita and Clay counties as public land. They cite century old deeds and fences while officials dispute complete ownership and await court guidance on the boundary established by a 1923 Supreme Court ruling and the 2000 Red River Compact.
