Bank-owned foreclosures surge in Iowa markets
RealtyTrac reports Iowa foreclosures dominated by bank-owned properties with a 237 percent April rise from 2013. In Cedar Rapids 347 properties were in default, auction, or bank-owned status, 39.3 percent bank-owned, with 147 valued under 200 000 and 134 built before 1950. Similar trends seen in Davenport Des Moines and Waterloo.
