Innovations in Team Teaching at Kennedy High School
Bill Dilly profile of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids where a three‑teacher biology team educates 434 students. The program uses large rooms, specialized labs, and project spaces with decentralized leadership rotating among Fall, Stevens, and Isserstedt. Students engage in lab work, group discussions, and individual help, avoiding fixed ability grouping and sharing grading. The team shares materials with nearby grade schools and publicizes activities to other teachers.
