Water on Way To Belle Plaine Works Planned for New Well
Belle Plaine officials plan test holes Tuesday or Wednesday to solve a long standing water problem. If successful the new well could be connected to the distribution system in about 30 days with full readiness in roughly three weeks. Estimated cost around 40000 dollars with possible federal funding. If deeper drilling becomes necessary costs rise and the council will decide. Residents are asked to limit water use while supply stabilizes.
