Three School Bond Issues Defeated in Iowa Districts
Voters in Pocahontas approved 1.039 million in bonds across two segments for school renovations and a Catholic school project, while three other bonds totaling 765 thousand were rejected. In Estherville an 875 thousand bond for a junior high addition failed by 1.2 points, 58.8 to 41.2 percent, short of the 60 percent legal requirement. Snyder Consolidated also defeated an 875 thousand bond by 587 to 568.
