A 19 year old Council Bluffs man led authorities through three counties in a Saturday night chase, stopped in a farm field and killed himself with a shotgun blast. Police cited driving while intoxicated reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident as charges.

A 19 year old Council Bluffs man Kevin Dwayne Vos led a multi county high speed chase through I 80 and I 29 at over 100 mph before stopping in a farm field and killing himself with a shotgun. The incident began near highways 6 and 191 and ended near the Woodrow Dodson farm south of Council Bluffs. Police described Vos as armed with a 12 gauge shotgun and accused of auto theft and attempted murder.
Patrol cars and three helicopters chased Alexander Baca for over two hours across nine freeways ending when his car ran out of gas a few blocks from his girlfriend’s home in Van Nuys. Baca, 36, held without bail for reckless driving, described as despondent over girlfriend matters.
