New Breed of Millionaires May Rise From Oil Bonanza
Creola Alabama residents near Union Getty wells face a potential oil boom as geologist Dr. Phillip LaMoreaux predicts a surge of new wealth. Wells yield millions of cubic feet of gas and hundreds of barrels of condensate daily, signaling months or years of drilling yet to come. Local landowners like Iola Smitherman and Ruby Stagner lease lands for royalties, hoping for six figure income while managing doubts about timing and risk.
