Reduced-power landing told at C R Municipal Airport
A Midstate Airline flight from Minneapolis landed safely at Cedar Rapids Municipal Airport on reduced power after the pilot shut down one engine as a precaution. Debris believed to have entered an engine prompted the action about 40 miles out. firefighters stood by and two crew and three passengers completed the landing at 12:30 a.m. One passenger continued on a different flight.

A Cedar Rapids woman Cheryle L. Feickert 25 of 76 15th Ave SW was arrested after allegedly assaulting two police officers during a traffic stop in the 100 block of Fifth Avenue SW. She was taken to Linn County Jail after an initial court appearance and released the next day.

A two-vehicle collision on County Road E-30 near Shellsburg injures five people including two children. Ray G. Stumpff 63 Cedar Rapids and Joyce M.
