Perry parents charged after death of 16 year old at day care
Sabrina Ray, listed as 16 and 56 pounds, died at Rays of Sunshine Daycare in Perry. Parents Marc and Misty Ray face multiple counts of child endangerment and neglect. two other adopted children remain in medical care while a third was removed. Investigators say inspectors flagged prior complaints of neglect and punishments but found no abuse at the time. Friends recall Sabrina as a shy child, and a memorial effort plans a cherry tree and plaque to raise awareness of child abuse.
