Iowa settles discrimination cases with 6.5 million payout

The United States District Court and the University of Iowa agree to a 6.5 million settlement over claims of discrimination against former Field Hockey Coach Tracey Griesbaum and former Associate Athletics Director Jane Meyer. Cedar River gains clean bill after five-year tests

After more than five years of testing, the Cedar River stretch from north of Palo to Ellis Park in Cedar Rapids no longer requires monitoring for bacteria. Tests show lower E coli levels, signaling reduced fecal contamination and a cleaner waterway.
