Three people were hospitalized after traffic accidents in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday. Nelly Taylor 78 of Mechanicsville suffered knee and rib injuries in a collision at Center Point road and Collins road NE and is in fair condition at St Luke's. Mary Cook 41 of Mechanicsville was in good condition with knee injuries after the same crash and was charged with an illegal left turn. Karl Clendening 60 of Center Point road NE was treated and released for knee and scalp lacerations. Sue Palmer 10 of Ellis boulevard NW was admitted to Mercy for observation after a bicycle collided with a motorcycle driven by Larry Bickel 24 of Ellis boulevard NW. Bickel reported limited vision due to a car turning left. No charges filed.
