Chicago AP reports Monday’s estimated receipts at 28,000 hogs 21,000 cattle and 1,500 sheep. Barrows and gilts fell 25 to 75 cents for the week while slaughter steers ranged 25 cents higher to 25 cents lower.

A three story frame building collapsed into rubble on Saturday in New York injuring four occupants inside one seriously. Four other residents from two families were away at the time. Police said the structure likely weakened after an adjoining building was removed for street widening.
