Scheffler Opens Three-Stroke PGA Lead At Quail Hollow

Scottie Scheffler shot a 6-under 65 at the PGA Championship in Charlotte to grab a three-shot edge over Alex Noren heading into the final round. Bryson DeChambeau briefly led but faltered with a missed par putt, an in-water mishap, and a late bogey.

Harrell stays loyal as Iowa Football keeps players in system

Iowa linebacker Jaden Harrell has waited years for field time, appearing mostly on special teams and posting limited defensive snaps. He rejects transfer portal talk, preferring to stay with the Hawkeyes, who have among the nation’s best retention rates in the portal era. Iowa averaged 11 portal departures per offseason 2022–25, the lowest in the Big Ten.

Ducks splash cold water on Hawkeyes title hopes

Oregon hammered Iowa in three straight games at Duane Banks Field, winning 10-0, 9-6, and 13-4 to pull within a game of first place. Iowa led 21-6 before the series, but 11 home runs by Oregon and a strong pitching display halted the Hawkeyes in a key Big Ten matchup. Mason Neville led the Ducks with 26 homers on the season, while Iowa’s Kellen Strohmeyer battled for catches against a wind-driven series.
