Iowa puppy mills cited in nonprofit annual report
Iowa appears near the top of the Horrible Hundred list of states with the most dog breeders and brokers cited by regulators. The Humane Society’s successor highlights 12 Iowa breeders with multiple violations, including Stonehenge Kennel West Point and others in Farmington Bernard and Grundy Center. The report notes USDA licensing, repeat offenders, and extensive documented welfare issues across several facilities.
