Prom Goes On for Maquoketa Student With Leukemia
Brittany Bettag, 17, a Maquoketa High junior diagnosed with leukemia in March, could not attend prom. UI staff and Dance Marathon volunteers hosted a hospital prom May 6 in a small gym near the pediatric unit. Bettag's boyfriend Johnathan Sneddon joined her, along with other patients and hospital CEO Ken Kates. The Cedar Rapids City Map shows flood-recovery data and parcel details via an online GIS map. State officials are building a living snow fence along I 380 west of Iowa City Cedar Rapids to improve winter driving conditions and add environmental benefits.
