No simple path to Middle East peace says Baptist envoy
National Council of Churches intermediary Charles Kimball told Cedar Rapids clergy that there is no simple solution to Middle East peace. He linked stereotypes about Islam to racism, urged understanding of Arab and Muslim contributions, and argued for a land-for-peace plan giving Palestinians a homeland. He praised the Shultz initiative as a constructive step.
