Hadley lawyer eyes plea bargaining in Krekeler case
Hadley attorney James Reynolds says the plan is a plea negotiation with federal prosecutors over the July 1983 theft of 1.1 million from John Deere Credit Union in Waterloo. Hadley will enter a not guilty plea when he appears in Cedar Rapids court, with possible dismissal of some charges as negotiations proceed. He was delayed en route to court after airplane problems and faces additional false-name charges in Texas. Reynolds expects talks with Black Hawk County on a state theft charge possibly ending in dismissal, and will seek bond for Hadley before Magistrate John Jarvey.
