Libby Dix sweeps shot put and discus, Tay Seals leads in hurdles and sprints, and Landon Prince clocks a state leading discus. Williamsburg finishes second, Mount Vernon tops with 162.5 points. Mustangs and Wolves shine at meet with records and returns
Dix dominated the throws as Maue returned midseason to set a career best in high jump. Evelyn Moeller captured both the 800 and 1500 while Kiersten Swart won the 3000. Mustangs took the 4x800 and Marion’s Abby Cave led the Wolves to 100 and 200 wins and the 4x100 title amid two record performances. Cave noted a windy but favorable day.

Beaman and Burbridge power Maquoketa Valley to Tri-Rivers title
Maquoketa Valley claims its first Tri-Rivers Conference crown since 2017 scoring 146 points led by Lanni Beaman and Audra Burbridge. Beaman edged Burbridge in the 400 while Burbridge won the 800 and both anchored two relay wins. The Wildcats eye a May 15 state qualifier at Edgewood Colesburg.
