Spring Square Dance Festival Lights Up Cedar Rapids Weekend

Nationally known square and round dance instructors Nita and Manning Smith of College Station Texas headline the sixth Iowa spring square dance festival at Memorial Coliseum. The Smiths host clinics and an evening show with demonstrations by Waterloo Cedar Rapids and regional clubs, drawing attendees from multiple states.

Opening Golf Days Attract 150 At Two Clubs

The season's first women's golf days were held at Cedar Rapids Country Club and Indian Creek Country Club. About 50 women attended the opening golf day luncheon with prizes awarded to Mrs. Bernard Price of Marion, Mrs. Ted Ruffin, Mrs. Donovan Price of Marion and Mrs. Karl Kehrer. Hostesses included Mrs. Joe Zisko resigning as co chairman and Mrs. Harold Stickney elected to the office. Reservations deadlines were announced for the May bowling luncheon and future women's days.
