Cedar Rapids district to boost student safety with 3.5M plan
The Gazette reports Cedar Rapids Community School District will invest 3.5 million dollars to improve student safety and well being from kindergarten onward. Dozens of staff hires including campus safety liaison roles will be added across six middle schools and elementary and high schools. paraeducator hours increase and social emotional behavioral health intervention specialists will aid students with high needs, freeing counselors to assist others.
