Born January 8 1940 in Fargo NC to George P Barrett and Lenore Barrett. Married Terry 1958. Lu worked in retail insurance and underwrite before joining United Fire reinsurance. She traveled widely with Terry and later alone, including China Spain Ireland Malta Greece Australia New Zealand and language immersions in Italy.
