Students push ATV safety ahead of Prairie Ag Day
Cedar Rapids Iowa BIG and Prairie High senior Spencer Wood and student Addy Bowman organized a yearlong project to educate sixth graders at Prairie Creek Intermediate School on ATV and UTV safety. The effort, led with Chris Lange and Teegan Baker, stressed helmet use, seat belts, and avoiding passengers under influence, as ATV crashes rise since the 2022 law standardizing rules across all counties.
