Cedar Rapids Highway 30 bypass project details announced
IDOT officials outlined a land friendly plan for the Cedar Rapids corridor. The improved road will require little new right of way and will avoid homes, with only a vacant house to be taken. Construction starts next summer and completion is slated for November 1979. Sandra Greenlief sought driveway access and bus turnarounds, which officials said would be checked. The 15 minute hearing featured a slide show on the project and its route from 450 feet north of the Highway 30 and Stoney Point Road intersection to a bypass up to Highway 149.
