Tama Youth Fatally Injured In Car Crash Near Montour
Melvin H. Hartz 17 a Tama high school sophomore died after a graveled road crash near Montour around midnight Saturday. He suffered a skull fracture and died at Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown about 3 a.m. Two girls in the car were injured lightly. the driver also injured. The car owned by Paul Pagel was driven by Hartz with Voda Weaver and Jean Ehret as passengers. Hartz born in Clinton in March 1924 attended Clinton schools before moving to Tama. Funeral services set for Wednesday at St Patrick's Catholic Church Clinton with burial there.
