Construction began this spring on a new I-80 overpass replacing the 2007 damaged structure under a 2.9 million contract with Iowa Bridge & Calvert of Washington. The project widens I-80 to six lanes, adds a turning lane, a 10 foot sidewalk, new lighting and signals, and will finish approaches in early 2011.
