Suspect Eludes Four Agencies In High Speed Jeep Theft
A white male, 16 to 22, 6 feet tall and 150 to 180 pounds, fled after stealing a Jeep Cherokee in downtown Iowa City. The pursuit spanning Johnson and Iowa City ended when tires were deflated and the driver rammed a police car. He remained at large with K 9 units deployed.

Guards Assaulted Prompt Containment at Fort Dodge Facility
Three guards were injured in an assault Friday night at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. The incident began near 9 39 p m when inmate Nicholas James 19 punched a guard and another inmate Dexter No Ear 20 joined in. Guards received non life threatening injuries and the facility was locked down while the investigation continues.

Iowa soldier dies of heart attack in Afghanistan
Waterloo born Com mand Set Maj. John Laborde, 53, died during service in Afghanistan after collapsing at a physical training session on April 22. The Army Reserve said he died of a heart attack. earlier reports listed a non combat related incident at Kandahar Air Field. Laborde was with the 649th Regional Support Group in Cedar Rapids.
