In Vista California a drunken wedding brawl required 50 officers to break up. About 20 people were arrested including the groom Hilario Martinez 19 and the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs Raymond Velardes. One reserve deputy Danny Strain was stabbed and listed in fair condition. Charges included riot disturbing the peace drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Charles F Blecher 84 of 1735 Ellis boulevard SW Cedar Rapids died Saturday after a long illness. A retired plumber born February 8 1888 he married Anna Kepler in 1916. Survived by wife, daughter Mrs Frank Stocklasa Jr and three grandchildren. Services Tuesday 1:30 p.m. Turner chapel west Rev Stephen R Root burial Linwood. Casket will not be opened after service.
Miriam Emma Baker died Saturday in Rapid City South Dakota after a brief illness at age 82. Born April 5 1889 in Garden Grove she lived most of her life in Cedar Rapids before moving to Rapid City in 1968. She belonged to First Lutheran church and is survived only by her son John D Baker. Services will be held at Turner Chapel East at 3 PM Tuesday with Dr John M Jensen of First Lutheran church officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Clark cemetery near Central City. Friends may call at Turner East.
Henry Robert Schulze funeral was held at Turner West chapel at 10 30 a m Tuesday conducted by Rev Richard A Osing. Burial followed at Linwood. Friends were invited to call at Turner West chapel.
In Bitung North Sulawesi frightened parents reported missing children after watching a circus. Police found the youngsters the next morning at Jumbo the elephant's trailer in Mando, 15 miles away, where one child aged six said they followed the elephant when the show moved on.

Former Stamats Publishing head of shipping, Mason City native graduate of Manchester High School, attended the University of Iowa. salary $8,365 annually.
