Shield of Osgood Reappears at Cedar Rapids History Center
The white bronze tablet honoring Osgood Shepherd and Cedar Rapids' first settler was found at the History Center 615 First Ave SE after years of searches. The ornate plaque, once near the YMCA site razed in urban renewal, was donated to Linn County Historical Society and sits on display with a star and acorn border.
