Hines given jail time in Emma Redlinger death case

Cedar Rapids residents shape Gateway to the River Memorial Plaza
About 25 Northwest Neighborhood residents offered input on location design brick style memorial type landscape and a steel arch gateway for the Gateway to the River Memorial Plaza planned beside O Avenue NW near Ellis Boulevard NW. The project aims for completion by June 2018 to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2008 flood with a 26 foot tall memorial sculpture West Side Rising and a circular plaza sloping into a flood levee.
