C R woman linked to daughter's drug sale released on bond
Cedar Rapids mother Brenda Daniel, 36, accused of using her 16 year old daughter to sell methamphetamine, was released from Linn County Jail to the Sixth Judicial District Corrections. Judge Sosalla ordered substance abuse evaluation, treatment, and no contact with her daughter. Desirae Daniel, 16, faces drug delivery charges. Ronald Daniel and John Daniel faced separate counts.

District judge denies C R man a new trial
Linn County District Judge William Thomas denied Carloss Robinson a new trial for the Sept. 5 2000 murder of Christina Sanoubane. A Dec 12 verdict found Robinson guilty of stabbing Sanoubane in her duplex at 818 10th St. Sentencing is set for April 12.
