Rock Island truck driver Del Cunningham, 33, paid a 15 dollar fine plus costs after his trailer rammed the back of an auto driven by Frank Hitchcock, 29, causing a chain collision that pushed Hitchcock into Mrs. Leroy Dougherty, 49. Dougherty was X-rayed at Mercy hospital and released. Cunningham pled guilty before Municipal Judge Loren Hullinger Jr to failing to keep his trailer under control.

Raymond Carl Hanson aged 62 was found dead Friday morning in an apartment at 321 Second Street SE. He had been staying with Lyne Hall after recent release from a veterans hospital in Iowa City where he had surgery. Hall said Hanson slept poorly and was dead at 9 26 a m when she checked on him.

The fifth cent finances hard surfacing of graveled primary roads and the sixth cent widening and modernizing primary highways.
