Snake Slayer Hails Doomed Death Sentence for Rattlesnake Murder
Robert S. James a 41 year old Los Angeles barber welcomed the California supreme court ruling upholding a death sentence for the alleged rattlesnake slaying of his seventh wife. The case tied to an August 1935 plot to kill and drown Mrs James to stage an accidental death. Accomplice Charles Hope received life imprisonment after James faced trial and appealed the ruling was upheld by the state high court on Tuesday.
