Committee of 15 Aids Soviet Dissidents From Paris
A Paris based group named the Committee of 15 trains volunteers to smuggle goods to Soviet refusniks. Since adopting 15 dissidents five years ago, the group has organized over 100 trips to the USSR delivering clothing medicines and records while pressuring officials for visa relief. IDA Nudel and others remain in the Soviet Union as the committee funds trips with postcard sales.
