Sexual assault investigated at Creekside Apartments
Cedar Rapids police investigated a reported sexual assault at Creekside Apartments in the 3000 block of 12th Avenue SW. A 53 year old woman was the victim and investigators sought a suspect description while gathering evidence Thursday morning. The Iowa City redistricting committee will meet at West High School for updates on boundary plans and potential March meetings.

Former counselor sentenced to up to 25 years in prison
Former elementary guidance counselor Donald Clark was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison after a Johnson County jury convicted him of sexually abusing a fifth grade student during the 2003 04 school year. The judge set 70 percent of the term before parole. The victim and family described lasting harm and called for justice. Clark proclaimed innocence as his attorney challenged the trial.

18 year old sentenced today in Davis assault in Cedar Rapids
Jose Rockett, 18, pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree robbery and willful injury and interference with official acts after robbing and assaulting David Scanlon and Austin Switalski on March 29. Officer Tim Davis was seriously injured in the incident. Sentencing in Linn County District Court set for 2 p.m. today.
