NEW YORK AP Several large banks boosted their prime rate to 7 percent from 7 percent Monday led by Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. Other addi tions followed including Continental Illinois, First Pennsylvania, State Street, and First National of Chicago. The move marks another all time high as money tightens under Federal Reserve policy. A higher prime rate typically pushes up consumer loan costs for autos appliances and furniture.

Cedar Rapids news reports the body of missing Cedar Rapids infantryman Pfc Edward T Cooper age 19 has been found in Vietnam. His father Robert H Cooper of 616 Second Street SW was told by military authorities that his son is dead. Edward had been missing since Friday after serving in Vietnam since October and had met his brother Arch there in December. Arch, stationed at Ft Ord, Calif, was wounded three times in Vietnam. Surviving relatives include his mother Mrs Fred Fett of Van Nuys California six sisters and several siblings.

Miss Iowa of 1967 Killed in Car Crash
Jeanne Formanek 25, Miss Iowa of 1967, died from injuries after a crossroad crash near Victor when her car was broadside by a northbound vehicle.
