In Reading Pennsylvania a 75-year-old church musician and four companions gather yearly at the grave of Irish saloonkeeper Tom Hannahee on St Patrick’s Day. Two men were arrested for drunk driving after separate crashes in Cedar Rapids. James Bowker, 42, crashed into L. Carlton’s car at First Avenue and Fifteenth Street. Carlton detained Bowker until police arrived. Kenneth Volz, 32, was arrested after allegedly striking a parked car belonging to W. L. Blazek, with officers serving a warrant at Volz’s home.
