Culver backs interstate status for Cedar Valley expressway
Congressman John Culver says the Cedar Valley expressway is eligible for interstate designation which would cover 90 percent of the cost. He notes routing depends on Iowa highway commission recommendations and that designation would save Iowa 40 percent of the project and Cedar Rapids over 1.5 million dollars in right of way and utility removal costs.
