Donald Cane aged 22 of 910 Tenth avenue SW suffered injuries when a cinder pile collapsed at Wilson Packing plant on Thursday at 2 p.m. He was buried for about a minute before co worker Earl DeNio of 1016 Tenth street SE pulled him out and rushed him to St Luke s hospital.
SIOUX CITY UP Two former Sioux City detectives Perry Davis and Claud Bledsoe were indicted on conspiracy charges. Six counts accuse them of taking money to protect drug dealers and houses of prostitution over several years. Both men were dismissed from the police force last January and have appealed to the civil service commission.
