Man's Mission Life Cut Short in Davao City Bombing
Richard Hyde recalls his brother Bill Hyde who devoted his life to missionary work in the Philippines and Mindanao with Lyn Hyde. He taught music at Faith Academy and helped start hundreds of churches while facing danger and cobras at home. The couple moved from Manila to rural areas before settling in Davay City where Bill died after a backpack bomb exploded near a mission pickup at the Davao City airport. Lyn Hyde survived and plans to continue mission work with their sons in Cambodia or the Philippines.
