Banks nationwide will offer postage stamps through automated teller machines this summer, the U S Postal Service says. Iowa banks have not signed up yet amid concerns over added servicing costs and customer interest. Stamps sell at face value of 5 dollars 22 cents per sheet of 18, same size as currency, banks may add a transaction fee. The Seafirst Bank in Seattle tested the service selling 32 000 stamps in January.

Baker canceled a Jerusalem walkabout and prepared to meet a Palestinian delegation, signaling a two track approach to push Arab states toward ending belligerence and revive peace talks with Palestinians.
Glen Muzingo testified he did not plant a bomb in Terri Muzingo’s car on Sept 15 and denied making threats. The Urbana man faced charges of attempted murder first-degree arson and willful injury after an explosion damaged Terri Muzingo’s car outside her Center Point apartment building. Prosecutors and witnesses described his alleged obsession with the car and the case included crime lab testimony with red wrapping paper fragments.
