Based at Fort Campbell Kentucky, Hein described light combat and rapid Iraqi surrenders, with his brigade on two hour alert until the ground war ended near Basra. He noted the wait was the hardest part and expressed relief at returning home.

University of Iowa researchers near the end of a three year study examine whether sugar food coloring or other additives affect child behavior. They note many parents report sugar spikes and activity but previous studies found little link. Lead investigator Scott Lindgren says the issue is important for millions of US children.
