Milton Klema, 71, of rural McGregor was found in a pickup outside his home Friday morning. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death. Ant hony Blum, 44, of Egan Illinois, Klema's stepson and his wife Helen Klema's son, is charged with assault with intent to cause serious injury. Investigators from Clayton County Sheriff Office and Division of Criminal Investigation are not releasing more details.
Jackson County Democrat Eric Tabor vows a greater emphasis on economic development and senior citizen needs in his probable rematch with incumbent Rep. Tom Tauke. The Baldwin farmer, 32, lost to Tauke by more than 30,000 votes in 1986, in a race where Tabor was a first time candidate.
