Dr. A L Jensen at Coe College urges personal responsibility for health through seven habits. Sleep seven to eight hours, eat breakfast, skip between meal snacks, maintain normal weight, exercise regularly, no smoking, and moderate alcohol. Regular aerobic activity adds years and improves quality of life, with 30 minutes four times weekly ideal. He cites Mayo Clinic data and warns of lung cancer from smoking, plus rising female deaths by 1985.
