He also faced speeding charges. A 16 year old northeast side boy was arrested at 11 41 pm after his car struck a telephone pole while turning from westbound Grande Avenue onto 19th Street SE. He was taken into custody in an alley a block away. Michael M. Allen 28 of 1560 Mount Vernon Road SE was arrested at 12 20 am in the 600 block of 15th Street SE. Donald E. Raim 46 of Route 2 Mount Vernon was arrested in Mount Vernon. Brent M. Rathje 23 of Maquoketa was arrested at 2 41 am in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue Marion. He also faced charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of controlled substances.
