Marine hostage quits the Marines
Washington United Press International reports Marine Sgt. Rodney Sickmann, one of 52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days, has quit the Marine Corps effective immediately. The 23-year-old said only that things have changed after completing his four-year enlistment and an 18-month extension, accepting an honorable discharge offered to all nine hostages.
