Iowa Supreme Court upholds ban on keeping liquor where beer is sold
The Iowa Supreme Court rejected a challenge to the charge keeping liquor where beer is sold, reversing Polk County Judge Lex Ladd who had dismissed Vic Talerico's indictment. Justice Ralph A. Oliver ruled a bill's subject need not appear exactly in the title if provisions relate to the main subject. The decision affects other acts including the motor vehicle act and covers Frank Dietz's case.
