Rashke Toutse Ken Ploen as State’s Best Basketball Player

In Tucson hospital attendants said Myron Mush Esler 41 White Sox trainer improved after a heart attack and seizure on Monday while boarding a bus for an exhibition game against the Cleveland Indians. Esler in his third year with the Sox previously worked for the Chicago Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers.

Moore to meet Valdes in national TV 10 rounder

Charley Johnston said Archie Moore’s camp is ready for a Maxim rematch. Maxim asked for a fight soon, possibly Las Vegas. Moore won the crown from Maxim last December after a 16 year title quest and will face Cuban heavyweight Nine Valdes in a 10 round nationally televised bout at the Arens.

Linn S. Wells resigns as head football coach at Augustana college in the North Central conference. The announcement came from college president Dr. L. M. Stavig. Wells had been at Augustana for two years and previously led the Navy pre flight school team at Ottumwa Iowa. His future plans were not disclosed.

Mohawks Rally To Edge Riders In Tight Creek–City Showdown
