In Cedar Rapids the 1 percent local option sales tax extension was defeated by 579 votes, 14 024 to 13 445, after a small watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings where We Can Do Better CR opposed the extension. Kuzela led the campaign amid a resource imbalance.
