Dennis J. Barton of 1606 Fourteenth Avenue SE pled guilty in municipal court to violating the controlled substance act. He was fined 300 dollars and costs for possessing amphetamines on January 23.

Born March 14 1894 in Garry Owen she lived in Cedar Rapids since 1910 and was a member of St Patrick's Catholic church and the Mother Cabrini circle. No immediate survivors. Services Friday noon at St Patrick's church. Burial Mt Calvary. Rosary Thursday 7 p.m. by Mother Cabrini circle and 7:30 prayer by Father Maguire at Teahen chapel. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Lucille Jean Hamilton aged 49 of 1238 Lake avenue NE Cedar Rapids died Monday after a long illness. Born March 22, 1922 in Des Moines she moved from East Peoria Illinois a year ago and worked at Armstrongs. Survived by mother Gwen Kibler and two brothers William B. Coon Kenneth K. Coon.
